The Stainless Steel Crimped Wire Mesh Mining Mesh / Mine Screen is a heavy-duty pre-crimped screen media designed for vibrating screens, trommel screens and washing/dewatering equipment in mining, quarry and aggregate plants. Each wire is pre-crimped and then woven, so the intersections are locked and the opening stays stable under strong vibration, high material impact and long-time tensioning.
Using 304 / 304L / 316 / 316L stainless steel makes the screen resist moisture, acidic water, slurry and outdoor weather, so it is especially suitable for wet screening, washing, coal preparation, chemical and metallurgical materials where ordinary carbon steel screens rust or fail quickly.
Material options: 304, 304L, 316, 316L stainless steel
Wire diameter range: approx. 0.05–22 mm (can be matched with required mesh)
Mesh range: approx. 1–18 mesh/inch → can do coarse screening (stone, ore, coal) and medium/finer grading
Structure: pre-crimped, high rigidity, low elongation
Supply form: flat panels, cut-to-size screens, framed or edged screens
Working environment: dry or wet screening, corrosive or outdoor conditions
Stainless steel gives longer life + corrosion resistance, so even if the initial unit price is higher than carbon steel, the screen change frequency is lower and total operating cost is reduced.
To match different ores, vibration intensity and opening sizes, the screen can be made on a crimping mesh machine into several patterns:
Locked crimping – very firm; best for heavy impact and large stone/ore.
Flat-topped crimping – smooth top, good for material flow and less wear.
Two-way crimping (bidirectional) – standard style, balanced strength.
One-way separated wave crimping – for larger opening in one direction.
Double plain weave / space weave – for special grading or where you need both strength and opening.
Intermediate (pressed) crimp – increases stability on large panels.
These crimping options are what differentiate a mining screen from a normal decorative or BBQ mesh.
To make the screen fit different vibrating screens and to reduce leakage, the edge can be finished in several ways (as in your parameter chart):
Cut edge – economical, for bolt-down or clamp installation.
180° folded edge – safer edge, no sharp wire ends.
Edge reinforced with PUR / PU-foil – better tension and sealing.
Wide PUR / PU reinforcement – for large-size screens with high vibration.
Rubber / silicone lip sealing – prevents material bypass on the screen deck.
So the same mesh body can be adapted to your existing screen deck / frame without redesigning the machine.
High tension & low elongation: designed to work under continuous vibration without slackening.
Accurate aperture, stable screening: pre-crimping keeps the hole square → particle size control is stable.
Corrosion & wear resistance: stainless steel resists water, slurry, acid/alkali and outdoor oxidation.
Anti-blocking design: square/rectangular openings and crimped waves help material pass and reduce blinding.
Multiple mesh–wire combinations: can switch between “high opening rate” and “high wear resistance”.
Long service life: especially in wet screening, washing, salt/fertilizer, chemical and coal washing lines.
Customizable edges: easy and fast mounting on site.
Mining & quarry: stone, ore, aggregate, limestone, granite, basalt, copper/iron ore screening
Coal & coke plants: dry and wet coal classification, desliming, dewatering
Sand & gravel plants: primary / secondary / final sizing on vibrating screens
Metallurgy & chemical: screening of pellets, sinter, fertilizer, salt and corrosive bulk materials
Construction materials: cement, gypsum, crushed stone grading
